How to provide “Proof of Earnings” when you are self employed. Most of the time, this is needed for financing or for property rentals (apartments, for example).

Steps

1. If you own a home business, you can actually create invoices and payroll forms.
2. Provide a copy of your bank statements to show proof of income. If you go back 2 or 3 months it will usually suffice. (you can use a sharpie and black out items you don’t want revealed)
3. Provide copies of regular deposit slips dating back several months.
4. Most of the time, the requester just wants proof of regular income, not specifically income from employment at a normal job.
